was founded in 1972 in New Haven, Indiana
by Jim Myers Sr. The business moved to the Georgetown Square shopping center in Fort Wayne in 1974, where we remain today. We have occupied 4 different store fronts in Georgetown Square, currently residing next to Fish of Stroh restaurant.
The name "Telrad" comes from "television
" and "radio
," which were the only products we serviced in 1972. Back then nobody had heard of a DVD
, or even a cassette tape! I guess if we started new today our name would be "PlasLed" or something more modern. Times have changed, but some things haven't. Like our commitment to our customers, many of whom have been visiting us since the 1970's. Give us a call, it's like dealing with family.
